Reena Dutta – Ex-wife
Aamir Khan married his childhood sweetheart Reena Dutta on 18th April in the year 1986.
Due to some differences, they could not get along well. They filed for divorce by mutual consent in 2002. Even though the marriage ended, Reena is still seen at family functions. Aamir says that she is extremely important and is very much part of the family and will always be! Their (Aamir and Reena) relationship has undergone a change but he still has lots of love and respect for her in his heart. From legal point of view, they are divorced but the bond is not going to break with a piece of paper!
Junaid Khan – Son
Aamir Khan’s elder son Junaid Khan was born to his first wife Reena in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is studying in South Mumbai College. Junaid is very passionate about his work like his father. He performed a street play along with his friends. When Aamir Khan was busy promoting his show Satyamev Jayte, his son Junaid was busy organising a cricket tournament for physically -challenged individuals.
Looks like Junaid is still figuring out what he wants to do. Once he makes up his mind and comes across a script that would suit him, Aamir will be more than happy to back him!
Junaid’s sharp eye on film – making impressed 3 Idiots director Raj Kumar Hirani so much that he offered him the golden opportunity to assist him in directing his next project Peekay, starring his father and actress Anushka Sharma in lead roles. The father – son duo shot for ‘Peekay’ at Dilli Haat, a few days back. Even though Junaid looked super busy, he threw no tantrums while posing with his supporters for photographs!
Junaid is too young to enter in filmmaking but he somehow convinced his father that he would not neglect his studies for film – making! If things go really well, one can hope to see Junaid making good films in future.
The 21 year old star kid is reportedly in a relationship with his classmate Sonam Varma. Junaid is said to be dating college friend Sonam Varma, who used to study with him. Junaid’s mother, Reena Dutta too was Aamir’s childhood sweetheart. He first met Sonam at HR College, where the two were students. Sonam is currently pursuing an MBA in media studies from Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research. The duo had been dating since the past year but had kept their relationship under wraps. But now both of them are quite open about their relationship and are often seen hanging out with each other. The couple is said to be very serious about their relationship. Junaid has apparently introduced his pretty girlfriend to papa Aamir. Seems like Sonam is Aamir’s future daughter – in – law!
Junaid, who stands tall at 6 feet 3 inches, was recently spotted at actor Boman Irani’s son Danesh’s wedding reception in Mumbai along with papa Aamir Khan and Kiran.
Khan Junior (Junaid) has now requested his father to kick away the cancer stick. Junaid is reportedly concerned about his father’s smoking habits and wants him to kick the butt to stay healthy. Junaid wants Aamir to also take care of his diet regimen so that he remains in the pink of his health while shooting for Peekay’s He’s the latest star kid to hit the B-town and everything about him is creating buzz.
